Well...as you can tell, my last post was quite a while ago. Since then, I have had 2 children and several life changes. My son was born is March of 2011 and youngest daughter was born in March of 2013. I think I have moved 4 times, maybe 5. My hubby has switched jobs a couple times. My oldest has graduated high school. My son is now in Kindergarten. Still working the same job since 2009. I became the Children's Ministry Director at my church in January.
Meanwhile on the heart, mind, and body transformation, I started reading a book called Made To Crave:Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food by Lysa Terkeurst. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I think I have read it 4 times now and each time I read it, more details jump out at me. Did I mention that I LOVE IT??!! http://madetocrave.org/
Anyways, I started eating on a ketogenic diet at the end of March of this year. I lost 27 lbs. WOOT WOOT! Then I plateaued at 171. UUGGG! I have been there since June. Haven't budged. Not an lb. Double UUGGG!
But after all that plateauing nonsense, I am still thankful and hopeful for more changes in my walk with God and my eating choices.
I posted this in a group on Facebook today:
Still tweaking my diet. I have come to the conclusion that I must exercise to reach my goal, which I have mixed emotions about. BUT with all the changes I have going on in my life at this moment, I am going to control what I can and give the rest to Him. Worrying is just making me sick and I can't change any of it. What can I control? I can control what I put into my mouth, my behavior and reactions, my thinking (well, somewhat, sometimes those squirrels get out of control), and my reliance on my Jesus!
So much truth in that statement. I need to focus on what I can control and let Jesus do the rest. (yes, I'm a control freak)
So note to self: You are loved and you can do this.
